Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera in reference to its unconventional rough-hewn appearance, is a Modernista building in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and was built between 1906 and 1912.

How to get there
Diagonal metro (Lines 3 & 5) is a 2-minute walk. FGC Provença is directly opposite the entrance.
Best time to visit
First entry (09:00) or late afternoon (17:00 onwards) beats the mid-morning tour-group peak. Allow 1.5 hours.

- The roof terrace with the warrior chimneys is Gaudí’s signature — save it for last, arrive there with a full battery.
- The night visit is worth the €11 premium: cinematic projection onto the chimneys, tiny crowds, cava on the roof.
